Our Story
It all started with a standard storage container.
Clayton and Gerald teamed up in 2008 to provide welding contractor services. They started out with a small truck and trailer, but as innovative and creative thinkers they were always coming up with ideas to improve operations and work efficiencies.
Needing to increase their own storage capacity, they decided to install a roll-up door in the side of a shipping container and then put it on display at the front of the yard. Very quickly they had interested buyers and requests for custom sea container modifications.
And so became CNG Fabricating, now known as CNG Containers.
Our Company
If you have wondered what our company name stands for, it’s our initials. Clayton and Gerald established CNG Containers in 2008 with a mission to deliver high-quality shipping container solutions and exceptional customer service. Together they built a business that prioritizes integrity, quality, and safety – and that is what sets CNG Containers apart from the rest.
Our Family
They say, behind every small business there is a family. Marilyn, wife to Gerald and mother to Clayton, contributed much to the early success and growth of the company in the roles of administration, sales, and customer service. In 2019 we welcomed Lisa, the youngest of the three siblings, to the team to manage the social media, marketing, and business development. We owe a large part of our success to the dedication and collaboration from our many employees, suppliers, subtrades and business partners whom we have been honored to work with and get to know like family over the years.
